Floppy drive server problems

Hi All,

Has anyone looked at the floppy server recently. I'm finding that doing a
lot of I/O breaks it fairly quickly. Before I start looking for the cause I
thought I'd check I'm not redoing anything.

FWIW I'm working with 1.44MByte floppies.
