Hi,

I've tried this a couple different ways, and am pretty sure I see at least
one problem, but this problem was with the generated a.out from "ld". What
it comes down to is my BSS should be 0 initialized, but instead is the
string "Tempest Tempest Tempest...". This rings a bell; I had to fix a DOS
filesystem bug when I brought over the newer GNU language tools.

Take a look at a "rcsdiff -r1.12 -r1.13 rw.c" in vsta/src/srv/dos. I
probably have the same bug in vstafs (since I wrote both filesystems, and
probably cribbed from DOS when I wrote vstafs). I'll play with it some more
soon, but if you have the time, it might be a fun bug to nail.
