Surprisingly, I couldn't find a decent "Squeak vs. Gnu Smalltalk"
comparison. Have you looked at both and then decided on Squeak or just used
Squeak and found it to be a good tool?

Boy was I ever wrong. I hoped that since it basically emulates xlib on win32
platform that it might have done so in a way that would lend itself to
porting to other systems. Perusing the sources, I don't think that is the
case at all. I'll forget about it. (Even though I liked the idea of using it
with Python (via Tkinter not PyTk :).)
I'm liking the idea of a UI server that views the UI like a filesystem
better anyway.
