No, once VSTa takes over there's *nothing* left from DOS. I just happen to
have used the escape sequences of NANSI.

Yes, doing:

echo nansi > /env/TERM

will stick you with that newline; use

echo -n nansi > /env/TERM

instead. Glad you got things working!
