With 1.6.4 every command made an error perm and with 1.6.3 everything is
fine (what does not mean, that I do understand everything ;-)

I have an Pentium MMX 166 and did use the same GRUB disk (and so the
settings) for both versions. So just the untarred vsta base was different.

Additionally I used mgr (or tried to....). There are no shared libs, that
could have been overwritten by additional software, am I right?

Next week I can do a test again.
