Hi,
I got a couple of hours in this weekend. I finally got
init + login + sh up and running. This is all on the 1.3.3
source base. I have the normal processes being run
from init: env, pipe, tmpfs, etc.. though I havent tested
them all out yet. Was able to login, run hello.c and logout
and do it all again.
I didn't fix any VM bugs so either the VM problem I
was having before was due to the old version of vsta I
was based on or compiler problems or some subtle bug
in another part of the system. I am starting to suspect
my compiler. It is pretty old (gcc2.2.2 which I had on
my system for a few years now). I have noticed some
other strange problems that go away when I make simple
changes and recompile and then come back again a bit later
after more recompiles.
Anyway.. I'm in a pretty good mood and thought I'd share.
Still lots of work to do:
cleanup of just about everything I've done
merge my dos server with 1.3.3
  merge my cam with 1.3.3
get cons2 working instead of cons/kbd
smart boot program that doesnt have compiled in parameters
amiga server to arbitrate amiga-specific resources.
The filesystem seems a bit slow. I think its both the dos
server and endian conversions and my cam code.
