write()

The server is currently type "X", and the error is -1, not short byte
counts. I traced things into libc as far as msg_send(), and added a
printf to bitblt to see what messages are coming in.

I'll give the stack trace a whirl. Are ther any bugs that were fixed
in 1.1 that were fixed that might cause this?
