If this /proc is anything like the one from UNIX V.4, it is a real
morass of ioctl()'s of all sorts. Plan9's is quite a bit better,
although you can tell that I didn't agree with them about the ctl/
and data/ thing, nor do I believe that kernels should understand
a.out formats. The /proc server could synthesize such a thing, but
at a loss of portability.
