I now have pdmake doing my entire source build, and it works fine. I
have also ported it to VSTa, added the needed time facilities to the DOS
filesystem, as well as a setime and date command. I modified gcc's
C preprocessor to handle both DOS \r\n and UNIX \n line conventions.
I built my new filesystem natively under VSTa, and it compiles & runs!

My filesystem has some performance "opportunities" left in it, but is
mostly running well. I think I'll fix the most glaring performance
problems, add an fsck, and make that available for Beta testing as
a part of the 1.1 release. I'll add file versioning for 1.2.

I sincerely hope that 1.1 will be much easier to install and build.
I'm aware of the make, tar, and gzip problems. For 1.1 I will also
provide a pointer to the FTP server & files needed to install the
djgpp DOS C compiler. I've hopefully fixed all the compilation
errors and warnings in the source. If you have had problems, and
think I might not know about them (or forgot :-<), now would be
a good time to drop me a note.

                                                Thanks,
                                                Andy
